Stillness in Motion

Stillness in motion: like the center of a spinning record, the axis of the earth, or the body of a hummingbird hovering by a flower. It is nature’s paradox: motion without movement.

God is like this as well. He is the vision which guides the process, the quiet that sifts the voice of truth, the calling amid the chatter, the destiny that drives the journey, the fate behind the rolling dice, the eternity that watches the seasons wheel. God is stillness joined to motion, oneness out of multiplicity.

Sometimes it is hard to find the stillpoint in our lives. We see the commotion, but we don’t see God. Too often we are movement without reflection, ego’s that serve no center. See beyond the motion and find the stillpoint in your life.
