Chorus: You have a voice that longs to be set free.
Take it to the crowd, take it to the crowd, take it to the crowd…set it free!
Long is the journey, life will not be hurried.
Into the dark depths the gold thread leads.
See the miners digging, sometimes even singing.
The ballad of Sophia guides them to the shiny things.
Precious are the values that endure like gold forever.
Lucky is the miner who dares to feel his way.
Life is not lived without its risks and dangers.
Do you want to take a chance and dance upon the edge?
Chorus: You have a vision that longs to be seen.
Take it to the crowd, take it to the crowd, take it to the crowd, let it be seen!
Lonely is the traveler searching for her soul.
She knows that nothing else will ever bring her peace.
Anxious is the man who can’t seem to find his way.
His pain is not unobserved, God senses all we do.
We travel to a distant land unsure what we will find.
Perhaps we will be reborn, perhaps we will die.
The journey is God’s gift to us; effort shows our gratitude.
The wonders that we find there will feed the hungry crowd.
Chorus: You have a message the people want to hear.
Take it to the crowd, take it to the crowd, take it to the crowd. Let it be heard!
Perhaps you think this song is not for you.
Why then did it fall upon yours eyes and your ears?
What if this song speaks of your destiny?
Perhaps it’s the very thing your soul longs to sing.
The people they are hungry, and need your nourishment.
They demand what only you can give. Share your food with them.
They demand what only you can give. Share your food with them.
They demand what only you can give. Share your food with them.
Chorus: You have a life that longs to be lived.
Take it to the crowd, take it to the crowd, take it to the crowd and let it live!

Author’s Note: the initial chorus of this song came to me in a dream. The message is meant for everyone.
In the Gnostic myth of Sophia, Sophia is the goddess of Wisdom. When she descends to the earth her body and wisdom are scattered about the earth and into the soil. It is yours and my opportunity/calling to retrieve these shiny, sparkling fragments of light from the dark depths, re-collecting Sophia’s wisdom and, thereby, becoming more conscious individuals ourself.
